It does what bricks do, and it carries the colors while it does. ## How it's made Each brick is printed in our Rochester, NY studio on multi-color FDM machines using eco-friendly PLA. Color changes happen layer by layer, fused into the body of the brick rather than painted on top, so the stripes will not fade, chip, or peel. Print time runs around three hours per brick. The same footprint as the standard masonry brick used in the Stonewall Inn façade. ### What is it made of? Eco-friendly PLA, a plant-based plastic. Each color is fused into the brick during printing, not painted on. ### Will the colors fade? The pigment is part of the plastic, so the stripes will not fade, chip, or peel from normal handling. Direct, prolonged sunlight can dull any plastic over years; a shelf indoors is ideal. ### How long does it take to ship? Each brick is made to order. Most orders ship within 5 business days from Rochester, NY. ### Why does this exist? Because in June 1969, a brick became a symbol of refusing to disappear. We make these the way we make anything we care about: layer by layer, in full color, on purpose. ### Which pride flags can I get? We respond within two business days with a quote and timeline. ### Is it dishwasher safe? No. PLA softens around 60°C / 140°F, well below dishwasher temperatures. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid hot water, ovens, and hot cars. ### Is it safe around kids? It is a solid PLA brick with no small detachable parts and no sharp edges. Treat it like any decorative object: not a toy, not for chewing, and supervise toddlers as you would with any heavy item. ### Where does the $2 donation go? $2 from every Pride Brick goes to The Trevor Project, which provides 24/7 crisis support for LGBTQ+ young people.
